Abstrakt EN: The exceptional and unique properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have inspired their use as an excellent nanofiller in a polymer matrix producing CNT-based polymer nanofibers with enhanced electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties. An influential method to synthesize nanofibers comprising these polymercomposites is electrospinning, which utilizes an applied electric field to draw out a few micrometers to nanometer dimension fiber from the tip of a sharp syringe. The focus on the flow due to converging streamlines at the cone vertex then ensures alignment of the CNTs along the fiber axis, thus enabling their anisotropic properties to be exploited. In this report, the work that has been carried out to date is considered on the various aspects encompassing the preprocessing, fabrication, and characterization of the CNTs embedded electrospun polymer nanofibers as well as the foremost mechanisms and the associated properties. Particular attention is paid to the synthesis mechanism and properties of these fiber systems, in particular to the processing parameters including the voltage applied and electrospinning polymer jets speed.
